Below, I'm teaching "Oh Susannah" to an Elementary level student.
I challenged her to play with her hands crossed as a fun exercise at the end of the lesson.
I believe that performance is important - it gives students a chance to share what they've worked so hard on,
and it gives them confidence that can generalize into other settings of their lives.
Improvisation is another focus - Forrest Kinney pieces are wonderful for this.
